There are some of you no doubt who are saying to yourselves "Just move in already!" As this is a family blog, I will not tell you how I wish to respond. But as you can see here, little monsters, it is put up or shut up time. Matt is using the nail gun! And that's not all.
You may remember the pile of bricks in front of the garage (on the far right in this pic).
Well, Powerful Katrinka (Emily) moved them all to the garage on Sunday.
Then today, the company came and hauled away the Dumpster.
This cement in the mud room let me get the power chair in for the first time.
While my nail-gun work is clearly the highlight of this post, I don't want to belittle Miked. He is doing some good work, too, with the wainscoting. (The single t is the preferred spelling. Who knew?)
Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed this gold gentleman keeping an eye on the wainscoting work. Miked won him when his foursome won a JAG tournament. When Miked leaves the house each night, the trophy comes to life and pound a few nails in the wainscoting. He's not as good as me, but he is so little.
The wainscoting requires you to cut out the outlets either before you hang it or after. Tough work, but I vow to make it worthwhile by running into it a lot.
Emily did help with the wainscoting, too. I don't know if she ever used a nail gun, though.
Here is more wainscoting.
Claren and her new pal Nathan got to witness my nail work.
This is the littler goof's room. It will have a Caps theme.
Here are the first residents of the house. A robin built a nest above the front door.
