ARRR! Some great work they be doing

The journey to the new house started about two years ago, when folks removed Claren's play pen to get the site ready. It took more getting ready, but we are much closer to the end than to the beginning.

Barry was here this weekend for Memorial Day, and he and Miked worked all day Saturday and Sunday on trim, tile prep work and more. One evening after they finished, Miked headed back out with door hardware.

While here, Barry took the opportunity to sing the praises of Sid Meier's Pirates computer game. It is awesome, and in its and Barry's honor I will use pirate language for the rest of this post.

Barry and Miked poured levelin' compound in t' laundry room and upstairs bathroom. Cousin Danny, who be doin' t' paintin' and asayed me t' colors be nice, heard about t' levelin' compound, turned t' his dad and said with a laugh: Remember levelin' compound? Apparently, they had a tough day when they leveled a bathroom floor.

This be an important and delicate construction tool. It be not basically an egg beater.

After t' levelin', I believe t' tile can be laid.
